Pistol
-there seems to be a thought that T Cook doesn't want to play locally, I've heard that a few places but don't know the origin, but Wednesday this might be confirmed By 'locally' you're just referring to SLU, right? Because I get the idea Mizzou and Illinois are very much in the mix, arguably the two frontrunners. I wouldn't be surprised to see SLU in there, but I'm not expecting it, either. It's just nice to see him finally whittle this list down because he's been so quiet about his favorites so far as he racks up the offers. Bills_06
Kansas Mizzou Illinois Iowa Then 2 throw always Those seem to be the ones we hear about most often but do find it interesting that reason he isn't big on SLU is he doesn't want to stay local. It's not like there is school not easily drive-able on that list. Wonder if SLU may stay on his short list just because of Tatum? If Tatum decides on SLU, do people think that could help maybe get him to stay? He does seem to go to a lot of games the past couple years. 3star_recruit
When you have all the leverage, it's understandable if a recruit wants to take his time. Cook can chill, sit back and see how Mizzou's season goes, how Florida rebounds after Donovan and if there's an early departure at one of the schools he's considering, and make a decision in the spring. He's not Tatum. He can't go to any school on his list and expect to start right away.
SLURadioBoy
Looks like Stu is going to have a story about Tatum's priorities in choosing a school in tomorrow's paper. Justin and Jayson are both quotes in it. I tried to copy the tweet, but it wouldn't let me post it.

Basketbill
Good to know, also good to see Calipari lose some shine with the recruits..... Still think Stephen Curry MVP is a great example of what can be done at a small school.

Dwayne's_World
Tyler Cook's Final 6 (per twitter): Iowa, Iowa St, Virginia, Arkansas, Mizzou, Florida Wonder why Mizzery is included? I thought he didn't want to stay close to home? I just don't see him choosing them over the likes of Virginia and Florida, there's got to be a reason as to why he'd include them though.... Pistol
Wow. That’s really interesting. Probably unexpected for KU and Illinois fans, particularly the latter. Arkansas, Iowa, and Iowa State are no surprise, but I am a little surprised he’s sticking with Florida. I didn’t realize Virginia would be a player here. Bills_06
Tyler Cook's Top 6 Iowa Iowa State Virginia Arkansas Mizzou Florida I didn't have any clue who it would be but surprised by this. Thought Kansas would have been in it, didn't think Florida would with their coach just leaving and thought Illinois would have made it. Not surprised but disappointed SLU didn't make the final 6. He didn't want to stay at home - close to home is different. He has a lot of Mizzou ties; I'd consider them the favorite, and I'm guessing most others following his recruitment would agree. SLU_Nick
Yea, I am not really sure why this is a shock to us. About 50-75 pages back on this thread, there was discussion that he wanted to get outta town. Not sure why there is any feeling at all that we "lost" this recruit. I might have missed a correction/update though...
