Biedscheid Transferring from ND

Yeah, and Carl the greens keeper had met the Dali Lama and had that going for him, but where did it get him? Whacking moles. While I'd like to see him be a Bill, from everything I've read in this thread, it doesn't seem likely.

What have you read in this thread that suggests mizzou is the favorite? Specific quotes would be helpful. And please don't quote volfan as he has a history of being wrong about 90% of the time.

If there was speculation why would he enroll at ND if he was going to transfer???

Because he wasn't sure if he wanted to transfer when the first semester started. By the time the season came around he decided he wanted to transfer hence the redshirt. It all makes sense if people simply pay attention.

I have read comments that his father wanted Cam at Missouri. I do not remember exactly where. I remember thinking when I read the comments that if the father is a dominant force as has also been reported and wants his kid at Missouri, then he is most likely going to end up at Missouri.

(This is obviously in response to Kshoe, but for some reason, Windows 8.1 will not let me use the Quote function on my laptop. Anyone else having this problem?)

Read them where? Tigerboard? I have read comments, including DaLove's early in this thread that his parents want him at SLU. Ben W. echos similar thoughts. Yet those get ignored and some random poster that is often wrong like volfan has more credibility? Geeze.

Yep, Kshoe, you're right. I'm out there reading the tiger board every chance I get (never). I'm just anti-SLU and am hoping that CB ends up at Missouri. You're on to me.

Sorry if I have an opinion based upon what I have read. Sorry if I don't statistically weight every comment with a system to analyze their validity based on some multi-variate analysis.

You know, when people post something you disagree with, maybe you could simply ignore them or just say that you disagree. No one is calling you out; we are just stating our opinions. You need to relax a little. Most of the people who have inside info will not post that info here anymore. We know that. Everything else is just speculation.

For DaLove seems to know a lot and he is often right, but I do not think he is infallible - only Rammer is infallible.

It's not personal alumnifan (as you seem to want to make it). And i certainly didnt accuse you of hoping he goes to mizzou. why make stuff like that up?

Im just curious where you read that his parents want him to go to mizzou? You still haven't answered that question.

And this is a general comment for everyone but it just amazes me when very good long term posters are ignored and random posters that likely don't know are believed. You may not need to statistically weight anything but a little more credence for the da loves of the world instead of the volfans is recommended!

Read the StL Post article today - a guy named Mathers who I have seen other things he writes can be classified a Missouri Honk - writes this article about how CB is considering Missouri - big headline for it - then when you read the article you find out a source close to CB told him that but then later in the same article he says the same source told him that CB is considering SLU. The rest of the article is about ND and CB's situation with Brey which was just a rehash of what we already know. My point is all this Missouri talk is not anymore founded then anything else. Where the kid will end up who knows but even from the Missouri Honk writer you can only really conclude that Missouri and SLU are on equal footing as of today. Lets just wait the process out.

Dave Matter is not a "honk." He is the guy hired by the Post to cover Mizzou sports. He is a quality sportswriter.

I don't see how anyone can say Mizzou is the favorite. Yes, he may end up being a Tiger but I'm not overly concerned that a Mizzou beat writer wrote a slanted headline suggesting Biedscheid was strongly considering Mizzou.

Ben Weix has always maintained that if Biedscheid transferred he would strongly consider SLU.

Fwiw I've always heard his mother has a stronger influence than his father - if people think the parents are going to be a determining factor.

The article I read early was abbreviated. It said nothing about SLU. I went back and sure enough we were mentioned. So, is it a 50-50 deal? One would think CB would look at SLU having an opening for him, whereas at Mizzery he might have someone step up in the first half of next year at the SF and make it harder for him to get minutes.

Both SLU and Mizzou have contacted Cam. Cam is interested in both schools. Cam is visiting Mizzou; we don't know of any other visits he has planned. I expect to learn more in a few days as Weixlmann reports it.

As far as Mather being a Missouri honk or not would be determined by the eyes of the reader - I agree he is not as bad as the Dearmonds. However, when I read his stuff he seems slanted towards to Missouri - now if your points are that he is fair and TT is not all that a positive about SLU then fine. By the way I am not sure the article said CB was "strongly" considering Missouri - just that he was considering them. By the way all the writers the Post has assigned to Missouri tend to be very pro them and not nearly as objective as others who write for other beats. Why this is - not sure - could be the writer assigned or the paper's approach.

You may be right and Matter may be less objective than I give him credit for. I imagine it would be hard to be a completely objective beat writer, but then again that is his job.

I would say based on what I've seen it's fair to say the CB is "strongly considering" both Mizzou and SLU. Ben W. has reported for months this was likely to happen and he always said SLU would have a good shot so hopefully he continues to be correct in that.

I was only referring to what the article said - it did not say "strongly" but I understand your point to be that CB is strongly considering both schools as opposed to another place he only has a passing interest in.

FWIW Dave Matter is a SLUH grad

So is your point that because he went to SLUH that he could not have gone to Missouri for college or that by the nature of him graduating from SLUH that he should not have anyone question his writing or is just that you are making a statement about where he went to h.s.?

I hear he tortures kittens.

My only concern is that he visits Mizzou before visiting SLU and commits to Mizzou without ever even visiting here

I suppose that's a possibility but it seems pretty improbable given the length of time he's had to think about this whole process. No reason not to wait a couple extra days and see what SLU has to say. Given his parents' involvement I suspect they'll advise him to do both trips before making any decisions.
