crymdg2
Did Ash hit a 3 while Jolly got pulled to the ground, yet Ash got to shoot 2 free throws singlehandedly getting a 5 point play? And maybe I'm mistaken, but I swear I saw Miles Reynolds h.s. teammate Paul White in the crowd tonight and went back towards the locker room after the game. He was a top 30 player out of high school and played his freshman year at Georgetown. I don't see anything that he left Georgetown, but thought if that was indeed him, it's a really strange time for him to be visiting STL. jbizzle09
I was also confused about the Ash/Jolly play. Shouldn't Jolly have shot one shot as part of the 4 - point play started by Ash? The foul happened to Jolly while Ash's shot was going in. Ash never got touched. Is this all part of the new rules or did the refs just not give a F and made sh*t up on the fly? cheeseman
Confused also but since it went our way I won't dwell on it.

At the same time, people on this board recently confused Jayson Tatum with Zeke Moore so it probably wasn't White.

slu72 fan
I don't know who he is, but he was outside the locker room after the game. Also, wearing a Georgetown jacket.
slu72
If it was White he's a long way from home as he's listed on the Hoyas roster.
JMM28
Paul White is a pretty recognizable guy, in that really tall, horse face kinda way.
DoctorB
Did he make both, and credited with 5 pts. on that play?!?!? If so I believe it might actually be true: the first 5 pt play. EXCEPT: it's just an exhibition. Darn, I was going to send a note to Sprotscenter... Mistake by the refs. Jolly should've gone to the line. First individual five-point play in the history of college hoops?
bonwich
I noted the play in the GDT. It was a really massive clusterfork by the refs -- not only did they send the wrong person to the line, but none of the three of them noticed that they were sending the guy who just made a 3-point shot and then awarding him a 1-1. For all you rules scholars -- because it was an away-from-the-ball foul when we still technically had possession, if Jolly went to the line, should it have been a single shot or a 1-1? Duff Man
Mistake by the refs. Jolly should've gone to the line. First individual five-point play in the history of college hoops? John Duff had a 5-point play against Methdale in the first half of the Orlando Stewart (RIP) game. it happens at the 3:05 mark (Dan Patrick on the call, Travis Tadysak was on the court for the celebratory fist pump, Ed Hightower blew the call)

There is no one shot foul unless it is after a made basket by the person shooting the free throw. It should have been a one and one.

Stewart in that clip. The kid just dominated that game. Would kill to have a PG like that today. That was all world.

TheA_Bomb
Just read that he's sat out with a "minor hip injury" but I will not let that stand in the way of my wild speculation. We could really use this guy described as a "cerebral PF" he can stretch the D with his 3 PT shooting, though he didn't rebound that well could be our best rebounder with his size. Old guy
I know there has been a lot of talk about the new rules, here is an instructional video (from NCAA) explaining the new rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkm6mrpHpYk Hve some fun watching this.
