SLU_Nick
So...Ole Miss is definitely getting the death penalty right? Looks like they had a well organized cash dispensement program ran by the assistant AD. What an amazing story. Good for the kid for telling the truth. Sounds like the system SMU had in place back in the 1980s. If you've seen the 30 for 30 on that, called Pony Excess, it's an interesting watch. brianstl
-who gets punishment from the NCAA first, Ole Miss or UNC? I am sure they will throw the book at the the volleyball programs at both schools.
Bobby Metzinger
Sounds like the system SMU had in place back in the 1980s. The gotdamn president of the University and mega-high profile donors were in on the scam as well. SMU shook the very foundation of the NC two A in a seismic event which hadn't been seen or will probably ever be seen in major college sports. The ramifications of what happened at SMU changed the vernacular of college athletics and also the way in which the NCAA investigates and probes athletic departments. Not even what happened at Penn State could get to SMU-levels of violations/sanctions. In 2016, SMU is still reeling from what happened almost thirty years ago. I'm sure the guy who owns all the Taco Bells in the Memphis/Oxford region (played by Tim McGraw in the Blindside movie) will write a check and the NCAA will vacate the land once glamorized by Faulkner. Yeah, I was focusing my comparison on the well-organized system of payments. Who knows where the payments were coming from though.

Absolutely correct on that parallel, DeSmet. Let's just wait and see how far up the Ole' ladder this went
