This will be a very fun ride for your family, for Brett, and for all of us. WOW - 7 feet tall. Willie Reed will be every bit of 7 foot as well. Teams are going to DREAD playing us. People don't realize how rare 2 talented 7 footers on the same team are. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Brett play yet, but I saw Willie and he will be a force. I have no doubt that Brett will be one our best big men ever when it's all said and done. Marchetti Towers, indeed.

BJK
great news... I wonder how many other teams can list two seven footers on their roster, much less two very talented ones, who will both see playing time right away?

JMM28
A year from now one of the best recruiting classes in school history plus 2 returning all conference type guards will be running out of the tunnel and onto the court at a brand new, jam packed, screaming loud, firework exploding, rockin arena. They will be followed out by a future Hall of Fame coach along with one of the best staffs in the country. Chew on that for a minute

jimbofive
Do you think Majerus can turn those two into rebounders? The more important question is can Lance Armstrong turn the Olsen twins into home run hitters out of the 8-9 spots?

billiken_roy
back to young mr thompson. i had the impression that brett was not really all that physical. yet i see where in addition to complimenting the already talked about shooting skills of brett, coach majerus is comparing him physically to bill lambeir as well! that is interesting. http://slubillikens.cstv.com/sports/m-bask.../111407aaf.html
Westy03
Reading that article how can you not be excited about Brett Thompson. Seems like Majerus already knows how to put him in the best possible position to succeed.

Brett was a lot smaller then. He is much bigger now and that is why I couldn't understand the talk of some of playing him away from the basket a lot. He can hit from the outside, but I think he is a true five.

Brett held O'Rear to 12 pts and O'rear held Brett to 12 pts... lets see, Vienna had somewhere in the vicinity of 20-30 fouls to Nashville's..."5" interesting game...we'll see what they have to offer on Feb 2nd.
