WUH
I thought I would help out in adding a few of the latest rankings though others can chime in with the rest if we are ranked. SLU is now No. 22 in the Massey Ratings after the weekend. Dayton (4-3-1) is No. 88 and Davidson (2-2-2) is No. 93 to round out Atlantic 10 schools in the Top 100. URI and LaSalle are the only other schools with winning records. The A-10 is obviously very weak. The loss against Denver has left SLU on the outside looking in with the NSCAA coaches poll though we are getting votes. Louisville also dropped out of the rankings with a tie over the weekend, so our resume is trending down. Not to mention, Indiana lost over the weekend to Rutgers of all teams. Massey has Indiana at No. 55. Incidentally, SIUE is at No. 54.
kwyjibo
SLU won a very tough game at Louisville last week but lost to a decent Denver team at home (and did not look good according to SLUBALLS). The polls reflect that mixed result. The coaches as well as College Soccer News and Soccer America dinged SLU a bit. Top Drawer Soccer as usual makes no sense as last week we were unranked but they are believers in Louisville as well. Polls: NSCAA (coaches)--31st (getting votes; last week 26th) College Soccer News (websperts)--20th (last week 16th) Top Drawer Soccer (websperts)--23rd(last week unranked) Soccer America (websperts)--21st;(last week 17th) Rankings: Official RPI: not ready yet, still early Gaucho Dan RPI: 20th (last week 46th--it's early but good ranking result of SOS which will be dropping the rest of the season) Massey Ratings (computer with MOV): 22nd (last week 25th) The polls are starting to be influenced by the rankings I suspect. Anyway, overall the RPI situation for the A-10, while still bad, got better as LaSalle has been winning (albeit against middling competition). SLU's schedule looks extremely bleak from now on as the winning percentage of their remaining schedule is currently .327 (Indiana is a good team but .500; Central Arkansas is 0-6, Wisconsin is 2-5, etc.). This means SLU needs a strong run just stay in the at-large hunt and it makes a top 16 seed very difficult.
