  1. From my point of view the biggest thing that creates a rivalry for out of conference foes is playing a lot of games against each other where neither team has the upper hand. Geographic proximity would be the second biggest thing. I thought we were going to get a good rivalry going with Bultler, but they weren't on the schedule this year. Those were tight games against some pretty evenly matched teams, and a lot of fans on both sides would have liked to see them continue. I would like to see the rivalry with SLU continue. In conference, the biggest thing that builds a rivalry is competing for the top spot, followed by geographic proximity. That's why Creighton is our biggest rival in the MVC, followed by in-state schools like Bradly and Illinois State. 2. You guys have a great recruiting class. Good things will come.
  3. I think this game will be close as usual, with the home court advantage holding. Both teams are young and sporadic so I wouldn't be surprised with any outcome. I think the dawgpound is licking it's chops at Thompson's first trip to the Dale. Cassity should have a pretty friendly reception. Dawgs in a close one.
  4. No offense, but this was the single worst bit of analysis based on a box score that I've ever seen. Your assumptions were pretty much entirely wrong. We appreciate your support in our game against Duke though. Looking forward to seeing how SLU's new class matches up with ours. I expect both teams will have the ups and downs associated with youth. Good luck in the coming season.

  7. We have yet to land a kid in '09. Several of our targets verbaled to other schools such as Joe Bertrand, Jack Cooley, Kyle Rowley, and Bobby Capobianco. It would be nice to land one. I think by late August, after the July evaluation period, kids will be making decisions.
  8. New Vogrich article I know you guys are in on this kid
  9. Good fit for Kramer. They thrive on heady players at that school.
  10. I expect to see easy bake meth ovens and other assorted redneck pictures like this one.
  11. I found him annoying and condescending and I'm not even a Billiken fan. Back to lurking.
  12. The proof will be in the pudding there. Why did they wait so late in the game to let him go after one year if they weren't at least entertaining the idea of holding him back? Seemed like they were going to continue to be spiteful to me. It's WIU, it's not like they have a lot to lose by screwing this kid over. Kentucky seems like they are on the rise. They got helped into the tourney this year by the name on the front of their jersey. The SEC was WEAK last year, and they got pummeled in non-conference.
  13. From what I hear, Crean has all sorts of restrictions on his recruiting so he is just offering kids he recruited at MU. Basically, he can't recruit just offer. He needs warm bodies, and the kids he's recruiting are going to jump at IU whereas he was just in the running at Marquette. FWIW- I've heard Crean is a total control freak and not fun to play for.
  14. http://www1.ncaa.org/membership/membership...e_quick_ref.pdf Test Scores · Division I has a sliding scale for test score and grade-point average. The sliding scale for those requirements is shown on page two of this sheet. · Division II has a minimum SAT score requirement of 820 or an ACT sum score of 68. · The SAT score used for NCAA purposes includes only the critical reading and math sections.
