  1. I don't agree with ESPN but they are signing up BE football through 2013. I have no idea why, but they are throwing money at BE football.
  2. Looks like the BE will stick together through the 2013-14 season with a new ESPN deal that will give them more $ and more games (adding a Thursday game in addition to Big Monday). The deal includes football on both ESPN and ABC. I can't wait for a Cincy/Rutgers Saturday game on ABC (puke!)
  3. ... is close to greatness. The Big East might not survive in its current form, and SLU needs to be in position to move into the top basketball conference in the country. The football schools might break off, but there are no good schools left to add for football, so this may not happen. But, should Pitt go to the Big 10/11; SLU would make a great addition to the Big East, if they make the commitment to the program. Maybe wishfull thinking by me, but SLU, MU and G'town in a conference would be awsome.
  4. First, I am a Marquette fan; but I like SLU basketball and cheer for the Billikens. I feel SLU has some of the best fans in the country, not just fans of a team because they are from the state that has a good state university( i.e. most of the Big12 and SEC). Marquette is the 4th seed in the Big East with 3 freshman playing major rolls. I know MU belongs in the Big East! MU success shows that SLU can compete/win against the likes of the Big East, B10, ACC, SEC and B12; because SLU beat MU, Depaul, UC and UofL in CUSA. MU is in the Big East because we draw 14,000+ for games and we put $30 million into a practice facility(what XU spent on it's arena). SLU needs to continue to spend money on the team and not give up like Loyola of Chicago.
