I have two nieces both just ready to crawl... Any info on registering?

They will announce it soon. In the past you have just had to email the athletic dept with a baby picture, some personal info, name DOB etc and a short essay on why your baby should race. The deadline to apply is usually a couple weeks after they announce when the game will be.

One of these things is not like the other.

The Saint Louis University department of athletics has announced that registration for the 11th annual Royal Banks of Missouri Great Baby Race is now open. This year's race will occur at halftime of the Billikens' 6 p.m. game against George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Chaifetz Arena.

Babies that are selected race across the Chaifetz Arena floor to win savings bonds and other prizes, courtesy of Royal Banks of Missouri.

To register your baby, please complete the online entry form available here. The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13.

ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis University department of athletics has opened registration for the 10th annual Royal Banks of Missouri Great Baby Race. Eight babies (under one year of age) will be selected for this year's race and will compete for savings bonds and other prizes.

One of the most popular Billiken fan promotions, the race will take place during halftime of the Billikens' 1:30 p.m. game against Fordham on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Chaifetz Arena.

To register your baby, please submit a picture of your baby, along with your baby's full name, age and appropriate contact information to [email protected]. Also, please include in 50 words or less why your baby should be picked to compete in this year's baby race.

All registrations must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10.

Not sure where the quotes came from but one looks like this year's event (11th annual) and the other looks like last year's event (10th annual)?

The difference of significance I see is that last year it was limited to 8, whereas this year they leave it open ended.
