  1. Schertz is going to act like he’s not going anywhere until the final whistle of ISU’s last game. He’ll do the press conference and won’t give any definitive answers. Sometime shortly afterwards his agent will leak the news he’s going to SLU and it will show up on Twitter. That’s how it’s done, see the numerous coaches that have recently moved on. He’s not going to deviate from normal behavior, regardless of the worries of fans on all sides.
  2. ISU doesn’t have a President or AD, he’s not staying around Terre Haute. He was gone after this season, something may have worked in SLU’s favor for once.
  3. Now we’re getting to the fun time of the search, every washed up coach will be throwing his hat in. At this point Louisville’s AD is going to feel compelled to hire somebody soon. The natives are getting restless, we know them Kentuckians know ball and need a coach soon.
  4. And it happens when schools aren’t committed to giving a coach the resources to be competitive.
  5. I agree that it’s likely done. His name keeps popping up but that is speculation from random outlets. I think Louisville will end up with a “name” like Scott Drew or Jerome Tang, or up and comer like McMillan or Sprinkle. i think Sprinkle brought quite a few players with him to Utah State. More than 2-3 is rare, but the fact ISU’s top 6 still have eligibility is usual too.
  6. Hey, it was the guy’s third different prediction for the day. Obviously he’s an insider and solid on who it will be.
  7. Here’s a younger Jesuit ready to be a President, with SLU ties. https://www.loyno.edu/academics/faculty-and-staff-directory/justin-daffron-sj
  8. All I will remember Pestello for is railroading Jordan Goodwin for Situation #2. The rest is moot, he took the easy way out and grouped him with the other 3 players. Thankfully, Goodwin really wanted to be at SLU and came back after his “expulsion.”
  9. It’s always funny when radio hosts say they don’t know what they’re talking about, then speak for 20 minutes on the subject. But, Bernie’s “teammates” Frank and Slaten like the idea so SLU should consider Ahern.
  10. Yeah, the entire staff (11 people) were laid off last week after being sold.
  11. I think they have well over 7 figures, considering the buyout is 7-8 figures. Think more like in the 9-10 figures. Still, the buyout is no chump change. Hopefully SLU doesn’t get in this situation again.
  12. Well duh, he doesn’t mention if the guy went to his or his kid’s high school. The important things in hiring coaches with T-Ravs, Cards baseball and nothing to do with merit.
  13. The Ahern talk is like a little kid repeating things over and over. It never changed anyone’s mind and was amusing at first. After that, not so much.
