I don't know if this has been previously mentioned, but a 36" standing vertical would finish top 1 or 2 in the NBA combine almost every year and would finish first many years. This is freak athleticism.

Keep in mind that is pure vertical versus standing vertical. A standing vertical is typically 5-10 inches lower than a running vertical.

And Wilt was just a freak as an athlete.  At KU he competed as a jumper, sprinter and in the throwing events in track & field.  Nobody does that.

Wilt won meets in college in the high jump by hurdling the bar. Executing the flop wilt was an Olympic level high jumper.

Yeah, that is quite impressive. Almost as high as Mike Crawford.....

You guys noticed when Tatum got drafted by the Celts they turned around and traded Avery Bradley, right? Some people think it was to create the needed cap space for Gordon Hayward, but we all know it was so Tatum could get #0.
