Bishop is a good player but Reynolds had decent stats too when he was starting. So did McBroom last year. Somebody has to score/pass so if you play 25+ minutes, you'll end up with decent stats more time than not. Bishop is a solid player and will likely be a 4 year contributor but some of his stats are misleading as he got them by default.

McBroom did not have decent numbers when he played A-10 games. I can still see the Rhode Island player flying across the court and swatting his 3 pt attempt into the seats. Unfortunately he was 5' 6" or so and slow release...

McBroom shot 31.3% from 3P and averaged 3.4 assists and 1.9 TO/40 min in A10 games. Bishop shot 31.8% from 3P and averaged 4.8 assists and 3.3 TO/40 min in A10 games last year.

Pretty weird to see the same people exaggerating how bad McBroom was against A10 competition also anoint Bishop a savior based on how great he supposedly looked during the conference season last year.

You are also ignoring the fact one was a freshman and the an upperclassman.

Yeah, a freshman vs. a sophomore/junior transferring up to a tougher conference. Bishop could get better, and I hope he does. But all the current hype over him on this board has much more to do with him getting minutes on a terrible team than it does with him actually being very good in conference play.

This team was so god-awfully horrible that it made any kind of reasonable play pop out. We deserved "Francis' Flop" this year and last year.
