I am pretty sure I saw a tweet from the new head coach saying that "my first act as the head coach of SLU is to confirm (? do not know his first name and cannot find the post) Platt as Associate Coach." This may be a case of a senior moment but I just cannot find the tweet, sorry. I will be the first to be relieved if I am wrong about this. Ford is good for public relations which is a +. When watching him I was reminded a bit of Charlie Spoonhour and the hold he had on not only the media but the St Louis sports fan in general. Rather or not it will translate to success on the floor remains to be seen, but he will do very well from a PR perspective. Did you decide to wait before you dump your season tix? If you ever been to a Final Four it's kind like a college basketball coaches convention. Anybody that is anybody in college basketball is at the Final 4. I'm sure Travis is and will be on phone contacting prospective assistant coaches now. Going into his 20th year of this I would think he have a pretty full Rolodex to make contacts and get references (at least I hope). Hopefully, he won't be watching the games but doing one on one interviews back in his hotel room. Before he can do much recruiting he needs to get his staff on board.
