I was told the weekend of the Dayton home game, they received a commitment from a player from Louisville. I was told that she is Jacie Kempf quality, but a little taller.

Thanks. They did say it was the Dayton game. That was the pink out game. What an atmosphere to bring a recruit to. No name though?

Not a ton of info on girls' recruiting, but here are a couple more links.

Plays for Butler Traditional HS in Louisville. Won a state championship as a freshman in 2014, then went 23-6 last season.

BTHS is currently 25-5 and in the playoffs. They play Bullitt East in the regional semifinals tomorrow evening. The regional final is on 3/5 and the winner goes to the Sweet 16. Those games begin on 3/9 and the state final is 3/13; all games are at BB&T Arena on the Northern Kentucky University campus.

Side note: Butler's girls' teams go by the "Bearettes" - one of those nicknames that pretends bears can't be female (like anything beginning with "Lady").

The women play in just a little over an hour. As the 2-seed, the quarterfinal matchup today is their first game. They'll play Rhode Island, the 10-seed, who beat 7-seed St. Joe's yesterday.

1-seed GW rolled over LaSalle earlier today. VCU (5) is up 11 over (4) St. Bonaventure late in the third quarter. If SLU wins today, they'll play the winner of Duquesne (3) and Fordham (6).

VCU beat Bonaventure, so it'll be GW-VCU on the other side of the brackets. 1-seed vs. 5-seed.

SLU is now up 20-10 with a minute left in the first quarter. Great start.

Make that 27-13 at the end of the first quarter after they trade three-pointers just under the minute mark and Kemph ends the quarter with a jumper.

Eight (8!) different SLU players have already scored. That's awesome. Leading 12-5 in rebounding, too.
