TheChosenOne
Carte'Are Gordon made the USA Basketball U17 World Championship Team. I talked to a guy who seemed to think he was destined for a basketball factory his senior season followed by one of the blue bloods. http://www.usab.com/mens/u17/roster.aspx

kshoe
Johnny Parker and Tate Decker are the only two I can think of. Both went to Mizzou in the late 90s. For as good as Webster has been, they haven't really produced that many hi-level D1 players. Likely a testament to their coaching.

Webster's major sports has always been more of a collective bunch rather than individual achievement. The 08 basketball team that won state was crazy athletic. 4 college basketball players, and 3 college football players. Everyone said Drew was getting overlooked due to size coming out of HS, which was apparent.

Billiken4life5
WG's Alex Floresca just finished a nice frosh year at San Diego University. Would be an upgrade over our current bigs. He dominated AG in high school. Another WG alum Steve Harris played in the tourney with Austin Peay this year but he would have been a reach for SLU. Pistol
Updates on some of these new offers: Malik Hall is a 6-6 forward who played a lot of post for his HS team (Metea Valley, Naperville, IL) this past season. There's some chatter about him reclassifying but I haven't seen anything official on it, so he might actually become a 2019 recruit after all. He's young for his class. Ayo Dosunmu (PG, Morgan Park, Chicago) is absolutely blowing up after a big-time showing at the EYBL event on SLU's campus. He's a top-two 2018 player in Illinois - Tim Finke being the other - and there will be a ton of competition for him. He has a very complete game for his age. Cole Swider (SF, St. Andrew's, Portsmouth, RI) is an elite perimeter shooter and probably still growing his 6-7 frame; his mom is 6-4 and dad is 6-8. He's got a ton of Big East, ACC, and other interest. He's the #3 2018 recruit in New England. Isaiah Mucius (SF, Saint James, Brooklyn) is ranked #19 nationally in the latest Scout rankings; he's #30 per ESPN. Per Scout: "Long-legged, active and athletic, Mucius excels making plays spontaneously and frequently punctuates the action with slams, blocks or rebounds." Sounds like he'd be the most fun player ever. Needless to say, SLU is one of many involved here. Arashma Parks (C, Commonwealth Academy, MA) is an NYC kid who attends Commonwealth Academy in Massachusetts. He's got a big frame that he uses to dominate in the post. He plays like a true C at this point; not sure what his growth ceiling is. He's got a few A10 offers. Vincent Williams (SF, St. John's Jesuit, Toledo) plays a tough, hard-nosed game. He scores at the rim in half court and transition and rebounds his position really well. He doesn't have much of a perimeter game at this point. He's got a few offers (SLU, Toledo, Akron) and a lot of Big Ten interest. Jeenathan Williams (SG, University Prep, Rochester) just started to blow up. SLU offered at the Nike Elite 100, and Rutgers and Georgia Tech followed. Until this point, he's flown way under the radar despite averaging 28 PPG as a sophomore. TheChosenOne
I tried to copy and paste the tweets, but it looked messed up. From Prep Hoops Missouri's twitter account: -Carte'Are Gordon and Courtney Ramey of Webster Groves have been offered by Texas -Carte'Are Gordon was offered by Iowa State -Karrington Davis of Chaminade has received an offer from Middle Tennessee State And from Andre McMurray: -Butler, Colorado, California, Baylor, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Purdue, Texas, Florida and more all reached out to Courtney Ramey -Torrence Watson heard from Butler, Creighton, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, Marquette, Mizzou, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Tulsa yesterday

A nice frosh year? He scored 2.5 ppg and pulled in 1.8 rpg against relatively weak competition. That's fine for a freshman but we shouldn't act like he is the one that got away. I also saw him play lots in high school. Not knocking the player, but the WCC is a better fit for him than the A-10. See no reason why he'd be an upgrade over our bigs. Gillmann was a better high school player than him as well.
Franchise_08
2018 PG Coby White (6-5, 175, 4★) has received an offer from Saint Louis. Looks like the dead period ended today to contact 2018 recruits. Looks like White is being recruited by the big boys.

Anyway, he's listed between 6-8 and 6-9 and 240 to 260 lbs, depending on which service you believe. He's a load inside, an aggressive bruiser, who uses every physical tool to overwhelm opposition for points and rebounds. He doesn't have much mid-range game at this point and needs to work on conditioning and decision making, but he's agile for his size and is developing more post moves. Offers from SLU, La Salle, St. Joe's, and Penn State. Interest from GW, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Miami, USC, and Temple, among others.

But you're right, the big boys are involved: UNC, Kentucky, Duke, Butler, Providence, Florida, Virginia, East Carolina, and even lower-tier program Mizzou have been in touch. White grew 4 inches last summer and now has length to add to his elite combo guard abilities. He's the #21 player in ESPN's 2018 rankings. Franchise_08
With the amount of Guards offered in 2018, maybe TF is concerned with the future at this position. Today Foster Loyer was offered by SLU. 3 star PG out of Michigan. Verbal Commits calculates 4 PG and 10 SGs offered.
Old guy
Watched a piece of his highlights video, nice moves and shoots lots of 3 pointers, did not see all the video but there were no dunks in what I saw. His stats look good too.
