Archy McNally Posted November 6, 2012 Share Posted November 6, 2012 I listened to it. 1) Early in the season, he is most worried about turnovers. Teams tend to not have enough mental toughness early in the season so as the games wear on they need to avoid sloppy play because of that. 2) The team showed a little more sence of urgency in the 2nd half that was missing in the 1st. 3) Talked about how all of their guards are combo guards, so playing PG is not a big deal with KM out. 4) KC was fighting against some small injuries early on but he is been healthy the last week or 2 and he is starting to pick his play up. His offense was a little better than his defense the other day. 5) Was asked if CR, CE, and RL will dominate the minutes inside, and he said along with JM, that will probably be the case. Mentioned something about improved play from CR. 6) Was asked why there are not as many pure shooters and he stated that AAU means that high school summer play is dominated by structured games rather than guys just going out shooting. 7) USC-Upstate is no slouch, they play fast on both sides of the court, could hurt SLU if SLU doesn't take care of the ball which is always a worry this early in the season, talked about the possible NBA kid, and said it is a good challenge early on.
