billiken_roy Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 imo, that is too high. they have very mediocre guards and in the big ten, their bigs wont stand out. weber can only coach x's and o's so much. if the illini finish above 6th in the big ten i think that would be a huge success. in today's what have you done for me lately world of college basketball, weber is likely in trouble. He really needs to take a look at changing his assitant coaches. He would have benifited if he would have gone after and landed Moser. He misses the guys he had on his staff at SIUC. Hardball Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 That is a great point. Remember when he was at SIU he had Painter and Lowry as assistants recruiting for him. Both have gone onto to build above average programs and have continued to put great recruiting classes together. I agree Moser would have helped Weber big time.
