Nate Latsch
Thought some people on the board might be interested in this: http://www.news-leader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...385/1002/SPORTS Kirk was a St. Louis area player (Zumwalt West) as a freshman. There have been some rumors that Kirk's brother, who is supposed to be a good prospect as an eigth-grader, will play his freshman season at a high school in the St. Louis area. - Nate
brianstl
Nate it sounds like he was almost forced out with them being above the scholarship limit. Have you heard anything about that beeing the case? Looks like to me like Barry Hinson is feeling a ton of pressure this year to go to the tournament.
Box and Won
Has Sky Frazier transferred to another school yet?
stlsfinest
I didn't see this coming. I thought he was a pretty good fit in the MVC. Maybe his shooting was not progressing at the rate they desired. I guess I should have expected it when they signed Kyle Weems. He is a 6-6 kid who can shoot the three well, defend, and play above the rim. Missouri State likes to shoot the three ball and Kirk is more of a strong slasher. He'll bounce back to D1 quickly, maybe even at a higher level. VTIME
I heard today, that a former 1st team all-metro first team is transferring to Mineral Area next year in hopes of going to a bigger school than his current D1. I'm going to send him a message to confirm and then I'll let you know. Kyle Kirk can really jump. Very explosive.
marcus aurelius
Lemme guess.... If I'm right, it only narrows it down to two, doesn't it? ;-)

boomerang
"in hopes of going to a bigger school". If by bigger school, you mean one where he can make grades and stay eligible, you would be accurate.
MOState
Kirk was not ran off by Hinson or anyone else for that matter. I also wouldn't count on him finding his way to SLU because word out of Springfield is that he is gone because of poor grades. We still may dump another scholorship in Dextroy Manswell and either use it for 2007 and either way he is gone in 2008 if it rolls over. Someone had to go though with the signings of Chris Cooks and Wade Knapp (because it put us at a +1) everyone speculated that it would be Dex.... The Kirk grade situation kinda caught us by surprise....who knows he may find his way back in a couple of years. This what not a situation of wanting to go somewhere bigger because he could of done that out of Kickapoo, he simply didnt make the grades.
