Recruit (1/7)

  1. Same offense every second half, every game, every year. Stagnant. Too much dribbling. They just look lost every possession. It’s the same sets we ran with Yuri during crunch time. The ball just stops moving.
  2. My biggest wish for next year was to not have our Post players at the top of the key handling the ball on every possession. Looks like I am out of luck.
  3. I have four in Section 219 Row A. Can mobile transfer them to you. $10 each at this point.
  4. Not much muscle. His quickness, both laterally and in his jump aren’t there. His biggest strength was always how quick he was off his feet. They almost pulled it out, but lost a tight one, so his team is one and done. Javon Bess plays later today for Mid America Unity (I think that’s the name).
  5. Hassan French is playing for Skip to My Lou in the TBT. Must have picked up 50 lbs.
  6. I have four seats in 219, row A. Cannot use now. Would to sell at a heavy discount.
  7. Margo helped me get the Billiken to my son’s three year old birthday party. The Billiken shot hoops with him on his Nerf goal and little did he know at the time, but the Billiken got dressed in his bedroom. My son is now 15 and plays high school basketball. He has been a fan since Kwamain’s freshman season and some of his first words came from him re-enacting the starting lineup for a game. The National Anthem was the Billiken Song and “Evin Ish for 3” were literally part of his first 25 words. Thank you Margo for contributing to our family memories!
  8. I am astonished people have this much time on their hands to “read up” on a genetic disorder and apply it to a current athlete. If our athletes read this board, then why would you forecast their future. If you want to say Jimmy Bell is going to be a stud when he is a Senior, fine. But to project someone’s medical future is just irresponsible.
  9. It is unfortunate that a player's dad must enter this site to defend his own son. I am willing to bet Zeke could easily take every single Billikens.com poster in a game of one on one, so get off him, and these other kids' backs. I too am happy to see certain students transfer out of the program, but ripping on them here or anywhere is just unnecessary. They are 18-22 year old college students who happen to be really good at basketball...or really tall. I personally think Zeke could have stayed at SLU, earned some playing time and gotten a great education. I do also believe that it was a stretch to see him earning a starting spot at any point. So if he found a better fit for him and his dreams, then congratulations to him. I love visiting this site to catch up on the latest, insider, Billiken news. But give the kids a break.
  10. Knew this YouTube Live would be too good to be true.
  11. I too had to create an account to say Illinoi$ caused me to snort my beer in the Baltimore airport. Go Bills and long live Majerus. And yes I am a huge fan of the direction Ford has this program going.
